What it is
filter.fun is a weekly token-launch tournament on Base. Every week, up to 12 tokens launch, half get filtered at hour 96, and one wins at hour 168. The losers’ liquidity flows to the winner and to the holders who got filtered. We’ve solved launchpads.The week in 5 beats
Mon 00:00 UTC — reservations open
Launch window opens. Creators reserve slots on a first-come, first-served
basis with a dynamic launch cost. Tokens don’t deploy yet — they wait for
the season to activate.
Mon → Wed (h0 → h48) — activation gate
The season activates the moment the 4th reservation lands. Slots 1–4
deploy together; trading begins. Slots 5–12 deploy on entry. If fewer than
4 reservations arrive by Wed 00:00, the season aborts and every escrowed
fee + stake refunds automatically.
Wed → Fri (h48 → h96) — trading window
Full field, no eliminations. HP rankings update every 5 minutes. Last-slot
launchers get an equal-footing 48 hours of trading before the cut.
Fri 00:00 UTC (h96) — the cut
HP snapshot. The bottom half of the field is filtered. Their LP unwinds
into WETH and feeds the losers pot. Six survivors enter finals.
Three paths to participate
Spectator
Read the leaderboard, watch HP move, follow the ticker. The Arena page
is the live view. Trading any token is permissionless — connect a wallet
and swap.
Holder
Buy a token before the cut. If it gets filtered, your position rolls into
the winner. Hold the rollover for 14 days to claim the hold bonus.
Creator
Reserve a slot, launch a token, and earn 0.20% of every trade in
perpetuity if you win. 2.5% champion bounty on top.
How HP decides who survives
HP is a 0–10000 integer that combines five active on-chain signals: velocity, effective buyers, sticky liquidity, retention, and holder concentration. Weights are empirically fit, the formula is open, and live values are queryable.
